TETSUO, EL HOMBRE DE HIERRO

Cómo disfruté ayer de mi sesión anual de "Tetsuo". Fue la primera vez que la veía con gente, y sólo por ver sus caras e imaginar sus posibles torturas hacia mí al terminar, mereció la pena. Mi primer encuentro con "Tetsuo" fue hace unos años, cuando la sacó en vídeo MangaFilms. Yo tenía unos 15 o y por aquel entonces estaba enamorado de Sam Raimi, y empezaba a descubrir lo amplio que era el mundo del cine. Pero no imaginaba cuán lejos podía llegar. Entonces, "Tetsuo", y todo a la mierda. No sé cómo es posible que el mundo no implosionara sobre sí mismo cuando Tsukamoto la hizo.

Todo lo que puedo decir es que "Tetsuo", más que una película, es una experiencia. Tornillos, cables, aceite, grasa, mutaciones, taladros. Simplemente es eso, y es mucho más. Y todo potenciado por una de las bandas sonoras más eficaces de todos los tiempos, de martilleo industrial muy acorde con las imágenes. Como si uno se quedara dormido en una siderurgia y empezara a tener pesadillas causadas por una indigestión y la falta de sexo. Y esa otra, porque esta película es puro sexo. Quizá la peli más erótica (de erotismo no estándar) de las últimas dos décadas, junto a "Crash". Y, por cierto, en el pase de ayer me di más cuenta que nunca de las influencias de Raimi (las chicas espasmódicas son puro "Evil dead") y de Cronenberg (sobre todo de "Videodrome").

Sigo pensando que es peor pasar una uña por una pizarra

Quiero comentar algún día la filmografía de Shinya Tsukamoto, que va mucho más lejos de este "Tetsuo", y que actualmente sigue sorprendiendo. Al terminar la película, saqué el DVD y me fui a mi casa escopetao, para no tener que aguantar insultos. Todo lo que me dijeron fue un "llegas, nos jodes el cerebro y te vas". Lo mismo que se le puede decir a Tsukamoto después de 67 minutos de metal en vena.

"Tetsuo" no es apta para estómagos ni mentes acomdades en la "aparente realidad", hay que querer ir más allá para poder dejarse llevar por ella. La segunda parte, aunque menos, también se deja ver. Seguro que el Migrañas hablará tardé o temprano sobre ella en su proyectada sección videocárnica.

Yo tb la ví hace años, y lo que más recuerdo es ESE taladro. Me impactó de veras. La segunda no la he visto. Quizás ahora que he conocido a Takashi Miike un poco más a fondo deba volver a ver Tetsuo y comparar a ambos directores. Aunque por lo poco que recuerdo, creo que Miike sale vencedor porque sus maneras de 'jodernos el cerebro' son mucho más variadas.

Bueno, en este caso no estoy de acuerdo contigo, Borja. "Tetsuo" me pareció caótica a todos los niveles (sobre todo, narrativo); me irritó bastante. Y, además, me aburrí porque en ningún momento me dejé llevar por la locura que propone Tsukamoto. Es verdad que ofrece ciertas imágenes muy desasosegantes, pero necesito algo más para que sentirme un poco satisfecho. "Tetsuo" creo que es más una película de sensaciones que otra cosa. No me gustó nada. Y la segunda parte me pareció aún peor.

Ahora bien, aviso que a mí el cine de Miike, por lo que he visto, me parece calamitoso. Salvo "Audition" (que creo que se la hizo un amigo), me irritan sobremanera "Ichi, the killer", los dos "Dead or Alive" y "Llamada perdida". No he visto más de este hombre (y ni ganas...)

Bueno... cuando me hablan de Ciber-punk, no suelo pensar en las imagenes del coche volando y la Japonesa comiendo sushi en una gran pantalla en el piso mil de un rascacielos. No señores, pienso en los biomecanoides de Tsukamoto, del ambiente general que rodea esta peli del olor a aceite de coche usado el chirrido de los metales y la velocidad asincopada. Tetsuo es una compilación de miedos modernos que nos asaltan después de mantener una conversación telefónica de 1 hora sin decir mucho o de ordenar miles de tuercas por tamaños en absoluta soledad.
Si, el mundo mecánico está cada vez más dentro de nosotros y a Tsukamoto le aterra y le atrae.
La esencia del super8 no hace más que embellecer cada segundo de este film y después de verlo te dan ganas de tomarte una buena cerveza con este ser, darle un abrazo y decirle que es tu mejor amigo.
Para mi Tsukamoto es otro de esos semidioses que llegan un poco más lejos, abren puertas y te hacen pensar. Tetsuo no te deja indiferente no suele tener termino medio o la amas o la odias. Si la amais tanto como yo vamos a echarnos unas birras juntos (paga Tsukamoto).
Pd: por la mula anda "Denchu Kozo no boken" con subtítulos en español, os la recomiendo.

Habla en su artículo de Cronenberg con muchísima razón, porque aunque Tetsuo es cine experimental, agresivo, poco argumental, y el de Tito David está más enclavado en los estándares narrativos occidentales y comerciales; ambos coinciden (o coincidían, puede que accidentalmente) en ser parte de la corriente estético-artísica de la "Nueva Carne". Una especie de evolución humana a través de la modificación corporal, mutación, mecanización..., una forma de purificar el "alma" através del placer y dolor del cuerpo.

Definitivamente, hablar del trabajo de Tsukamoto no es tarea facil, y hacer un solo comentario es mas dificil, el cine de Tsukamoto, puede parecer surrealista, sin sentido quiza, y sin un argumento totalmete fuerte que sostenga la historia, pero las imagenes que nos muestra, el motaje y sountrack son una experiencia que bien vale la pena, sin duda Tetsuo es una de las mejores peliculas que he visto, fotografia en blanco y negro con zonas saturadas, infinidad de rampas en el montaje, vuelo de ejes entre cortes, dialogos casi nulos, encuadres de estudiante,y muchos etc; solo digo cuando vi esta pelicula me volo la cabeza y ya ni decir de Snake of June...

me parecio increible tetsuo, un cine diferente y sobre todo el uso de dos opuestos: el blanco y negro junto con la innovadora forma de edicion, del empleo del lenguaje.
